We have helped the Princes Trust in Norfolk a few times over the past 3 years. This time we didn’t need to fell or prune any trees, we were asked to collect 5 tonnes of the shingle. So we sent the transit tipper off to Longwater Gravel Company in Coltishall to collect it and deliver it to North Walsham. They were installing french drains for a local community centre whos budget was cut during the recent budget cuts.
Local teenagers learning arborist techniques
The teenagers were working hard and seemed to be enjoying it learning through doing and picking up new skills. It was really great to see local teenagers improving the garden area for the elderly, tea was aplenty but we didn’t have time to grab one, off to the quarry to get another load. By the end of the day, they had completed the drains by 15:30 and clear the site of the spoil onto the back of the transit.
We’re always happy to see if we can lend a hand to local projects, send us an email and we will see what we can do.
